Missing

I came across these the other day.

The boy was seven months in these pictures.  Boy do they tell a story.  The stain on his shirt above is evidence that my boy was a spit-ter upper. And check out the picture below…do you see that drool.  {sigh}

Running across pictures of your child from the past, is not good.  As soon as I saw them, I couldn’t help it…the water works came on and my eyes started dripping. My baby boy.  Time sure does fly and although I enjoy my lil’man, I miss my lil’baby too.  It is just a fierce reminder to enjoy every stage your in at the moment because pretty soon, you’ll wish it back again.

The Boy’s First Snow. What!?!

Ok, so I am really blasting to the past with this post.  Erin over at Yes, Our Hands are Full “photo” tagged me! So, here were my directions:
  1. Go to your photo files, select the 8th photo folder.
  2. Select the 8th photo in that folder.
  3. Post that photo along with the story behind it.
  4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same!
This is the picture that I found…
Snowy Day 004 It was taken in 2008.  Lil’man was almost  3 months old.  Wasn’t he so cute in his little snow suit.  It was a little bear suit with ears and everything.  This was actually the only time he wore it!  (Good thing I purchased it at a consignment sale for $5 with the original price tag still attached!!) I can’t believe how quickly he has grown.  Just even this past year he has changed so much.

Anyway, I was suppose to share the story of the picture.  This was the first time the boy experience snow, as you caught from the title.  Now mind you, he wasn’t out there long.  He wasn’t very fond of the cold weather.   My favorite picture from this moment is this one…
Snowy Day 006I know I am suppose to tag people, but I figured if you want to participate, then the more the merrier!   Just come back and leave a comment to let me know you played along.  I would love to see what picture you stumble upon!

Wonderful Idea

This morning I was reading the blog Domestic Godliness and one of Angela’s post was about a Wonderful idea!   It describes a challenge given by Angie Smith about praying for your child 7 times a day for 7 days.  I was so excited to find this post because I am currently doing a bible study, which talks about praying specifically with scripture!  Everything is already laid out for me, so all I will have to do is copy the scriptures and post in areas where we do each task to remember to do it.  My plan is to get it all ready to go and start this Sunday.  I hope some of you will consider joining me in this challenge.

Winnings!

I have been so blessed recently with being able to do giveaways and also win some.  One that I recently won was from 1+1+1=1.  Check it out.

My son hasn't seen it yet.  I plan on giving it to him for Christmas or his birthday.  I just feel so blessed that God is providing these gifts.  He is so generous to us and I am truly grateful for His kindness.  I also want to give a BIG THANKS to Brainy Baby for providing the giveaway and Carisa from 1+1+1=1 for hosting the giveaway.

If you haven't been to Brainy Baby, then go check them out.  They have quite a few products to choose from and I really like their product guide.  It allows you to filter their products by age and interest.

Must See- LeggyBits

Picture taken with permission from Little Bits
Have you seen these?  These little leggings seem to be all the rage these days.  I wish they were around when my son was little.  They are definitely a must have for your baby or your friend's baby.  If you want to get some for your child or a friend's child then get them at Little Bits.  Why you ask?  Well, you will be supporting missionaries as the work in the inner city.  That's right, every dollar is used to support Frank, Carisa and their children.  So, check out this must see and get a pair for someone this Christmas season.

Must See- Monthly Onesies from Apple Toddler

Picture taken from AppleToddler.com
Aren't these onesies adorable!  I love how you can use them to "record the growth of your child each month during their first year."  Not only would these be a fun addition to your child's wardrobe, but they would be a fabulous baby shower gift.  You can also get matching hair bows for the lil'lady or "bow ties" for the lil'man in your life.  So, go check this must see out at Apple Toddler.
