Tot School- Week of Sept 14

Tot School
Lil'man is 21 months.
After a week off from Tot School, we are easing back into the swing of things.  I have to re-work our schedule, my bible study has thrown us off a bit, but it won't take long to get back into the flow.  As for this past week, we continued with our Farm Theme.  We focused on one farm animal, the sheep, and the colors black and white.

Resources
*Wild and Woolly Sheep from Kids Crafts Weekly
*Barnyard Colors (Part of Farm Tot-Book)
*Hand Print Lamb from First-School

Next week we will focus in on pigs, the color pink and since we are unintentionally doing a "P" theme we will be doing a letter P activity as well.

Tot School- Aug 31

Tot School
Lil'man is 21 months.
This week we continued to do the beach theme and activities that we planned last week. We of course, didn't accomplish all of them, but I am not worried about it. If you saw my lesson plan that I posted last week, you might think that I have a little too much planned or that I never have time to get stuff done around the house, but that is not the case. Every day Lil'man has free play at various times, room time (plays by himself in his room), 30 minute video (or tv program) and a structure activity that I choose that he can do without me. We read one of our library books prior to his nap (he loves to read, so we usually do it a lot more than just at that time) and we have two 30 minute activities that we do together 2 or 3 times a week. The other days we run errands, go to the library for story time, and then I have a woman's bible study that I attend once a week in the morning.

So, that being said, this week I don't have a lot of pictures. Most of the time, we were singing and acting out these beach songs. My son is a big fan of singing! He also was very excited about a new file folder game that I introduced him to this week. (I didn't have a chance to attach it to a file folder yet, but I didn't let that stop us from playing with it.) He struggled with the concept in the beginning, but caught on quickly.
