A Battle for Order: Week 1 Complete

Well, I have successfully completed my first goal in the The Battle for Order. I found a great website, BlissTree.com, that gave me an organization strategy for my "mail center." Using their system I was able to take care of the mess of papers that were cluttering the top of the desk.

I still need a few things to complete my "mail center dream," but I feel like I am off to a good start.

  1. The table looks great, and I love the pic of your lil Man. :) Can you share a pic of the solution, too? I'm assuming, here, that you're using some sort of filing system or basket or something to store the mail as it comes in.

We have a major problem with mail...but, I'm sorry to admit, the biggest problem is that I never go thru it, which means it's all left up to my husband! Ack.

  3. Wow, it looks great! I have a filing system for important papers on my desk, but I don't have a mail station. What a good idea- it would make our dining room table look a lot better!

  4. Do you ever read "Real Simple" magazine? I got a subscription for my birthday and it's full of good organization ideas. That's where I got the idea for our "bill box" and it turns out they sell Real Simple products at Target, so I found exactly what I wanted and now our mail situation is so much better. Things go directly into recycling or the bill box. It's fantastic. If you want, I can give you some back issues (I've saved them ALL), but they would definitely be just a loan - I'm a little attached to my magazine collection!

  5. Looks great! It's so satisfying to have a nice clean place to start your day or do your work. The link for the mail center idea is wonderful, I did something similar with our papers so they have a place to live until I can deal with them properly. Keep up the good work!
